What are your office hours?
iMEDSolutions is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and closed on the weekend and most major holidays. If the office is closed, or in the unlikely event that you are unable to reach a staff member during regular business hours, please leave a message on our voice mail system. Your call will be returned as soon as possible.
How is anesthesia charged?
Anesthesia is billed in time units (15 minute increments) and base units, which are assigned by the American Society of Anesthesiologists for the time spent with you before, during, and following surgery.
Why is my anesthesiologist not in my insurance network when my surgery center and surgeon are?
Your anesthesiologist is a member of our independent medical group, iMEDSolutions, which is a separate entity from the surgery center and the surgeon, and may not be contracted with the same insurance companies. We recommend that you verify that all healthcare providers are in your insurance network or that your policy has out of network benefits.
How long does it take for my insurance company to make payment?
This varies with each insurance company. iMEDSolutions processes claims within two to three weeks from the date of service. Insurance companies pay claims within approximately 30 days.
Why does the surgery center also charge for anesthesia?
The charges for any anesthesia medications, supplies, and equipment used to monitor your status while you are under anesthesia. We only bill for the professional services provided by the anesthesiologist.
What anesthesia charges will I be responsible for?
If you have medical insurance, the amount you owe will be determined by your company’s insurance provider participation and the terms of your policy. Please contact your insurance company to confirm iMEDSolutions participation and discuss your coverage. If iMEDSolutions does not participate with your company, you will be responsible for any balance remaining after payment is received from your insurance company.
What if I do not have insurance?
We are dedicated to making our services available and affordable. iMEDSolutions will make every attempt to assist those without insurance coverage. We also offer several options, including a pre-payment plan with a negotiated discount, a flexible payment plan and other outside programs.
